Vic and I have worked together for over two and a half years on multiple accounts I am a social media manager and copywriter for at Wondros. We collaborate daily to make sure that visual storytelling aligns with our client's messaging priorities. Vic cares a lot about the quality of not just their work but the entire team's work, and so they are often going above and beyond to help others succeed. They're extremely collaborative, but they're also able to be decisive when they need to be. They are able to creatively solve problems on their own, which is, in my experience, rarer than it should be. As a result Vic is extremely efficient but also a natural leader. The other designers on our team often look to Vic for guidance or direction.

Vic works hard, often putting in long hours to meet last-minute project deadlines. It's not unusual for them to be one of the last people on our team to log off. Last year, we were been given multiple, complex projects with almost impossible turnaround times. For one of these, we had 48 hours to make an amount of content that would usually take 2 weeks. Both nights we were online working together until almost 11 p.m., but the entire time Vic remained calm, focused, and cheerful. (I wanted to cry, but they made me laugh!) So, under pressure, they are able to stay focused, improve team morale, and produce excellent work. Vic also pays extreme attention to detail, often catching quality issues that others (including myself!) miss.

Vic is an extremely gifted artist. They are creative, often approaching visual storytelling in ways others would not have thought to do, but they are also extremely proficient in and knowledgeable of multiple artistic domains, including cinematography, film photography, editing, and graphic design. Vic loves to be challenged. As a result, they're often adding tools to their toolbox, but they're also very adept at mastering them quickly to keep our projects on schedule. Vic is also just one of the most intelligent and competent people I know, and so they are constantly organizing, creating processes, and solving problems so that the team works more efficiently and the quality of our work is better. They genuinely enjoy collaborating with other artists who share their work ethic and commitment to craft. They're an excellent communicator, and there has never been a time I have seen them say no to someone who has asked for help. (They've helped me out of a pinch many times.) Vic also has an excellent relationship with our Senior Director, who has come to rely on Vic's candid but constructive feedback to improve our team's work. As someone who has managed teams before, I can confidently say that Vic is the kind of hire you dream about finding but very rarely do.

Vic and I worked together at Wondros for three years, where I directly supervised Vic. They have a really strong work ethic. They're both efficient and meticulous. Their strong attention to detail and collaboration skills are unmatched. Their ability to anticipate needs and respond to client demands without compromising their quality of work was a huge asset to our team. Organization is another major strength that Vic possesses. They are able to create processes and structures that help to drive team efficiency. They take initiative to do these things and excel at them in a way that builds trust. They are dependable and highly adaptable. Vic is extremely creative. They truly understand how to visualize concepts and complicated ideas to bring them to life in a way that is aesthetically excellent and digestible to audiences. They are a creative storyteller who can bring a fresh perspective to brands and initiatives. They are someone who I built a great professional and personal relationship with. I trust their creative expertise, and I am confident that they can excel at any endeavor they seek out. During our time working together, I enjoyed their positive energy and amazing personality.

I had the pleasure of interviewing and hiring Vic at Wondros, and they were a vital asset to our team during our time working together. What made them such a star candidate for our role working with the National Institutes of Health was Vic's strong portfolio. Their ability to edit content and videos while focusing on the storytelling expanded into festival work, music videos, nonprofit work, etc. I always commended Vic for their ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to one-off requests clients may have had. They're a strong presenter, came to the table with solutions on refining our creative process, and actively participated in creative ideation in collaboration with the video team + graphics team. Vic is, and always will be someone who takes pride in their work and has a keen sense of attention to detail.

I will continue to recommend Vic for future roles in editing, social content creation/production, documentary style filming, music festival content creation, music video creative concepts and storytelling.

I first met Vic Kohl three years ago when they were working as an intern for the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, AL. From the very start, it was obvious to me that they were highly valued and well respected by their co-workers and employer. For me, that's always proven to be a strong indicator of character and work ethic. A student at the University of Miami at the time, I asked them to reach out to me if they ever relocated to the West Coast and to my delight, they did a year later.

After their move to Los Angeles with their film school's extension program, they proactively reached out to us at the very same time that we were looking to fill an internship position.

During our search, we met with quite a few different candidates and they were a clear cut above the competition. As an intern, they exceeded our expectations on a weekly basis. I had never expected that someone with their limited profession experience (at the time), would have been able to rise to the occasion the way that they did on a number of productions for us. One example that stands out in my mind was when we were producing a last minute broadcast for Williams Sonoma with Martha Stewart in Napa Valley, CA and no one on the crew could fix a major sound issue that we had during our tests all day. With a half hour to go, Vic stepped in and suggested the technical solution that saved the entire production just minutes before we went live. Their editing skills exceeded our expectations so much that we ended up hiring them for a number of high pressure productions just months after starting with us.

When a production coordination opportunity opened up at the end of last year with us, Vic was an obvious first choice. We were so fortunate that they accepted the contracting opportunity. During their time with us, I quickly learned that Vic is a 'triple threat,' because 1) they're extremely creative and has a multitude of technical skills to back it up, 2) they have a big heart and is great with people, and 3) they're an insightful researcher with an exceptional mind for marketing.

Vic will be an incredible asset to those who invest the time and trust to empower them to work to her full potential. If given that opportunity, they will surely exceed your expectations as well. I do not hesitate to give you my wholehearted recommendation for them. I look forward to closely following their career trajectory. I'm certain they will go far. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Vic Kohl worked in the Digital Media Lab at the University of Miami under my supervision for 2 years. During that time, I developed a very high regard for Vic based on the outstanding contributions that they made to our office throughout their tenure. In fact, Vic has been the most productive staff member that the lab has employed during my 3-year tenure as Supervisor.

Mx. Kohl exhibited a rare combination of speed and accuracy that has enabled them to produce a very high volume of work while maintaining excellent standards for quality. Vic was able to follow complex directions in a thorough and detailed manner and also worked very independently without close supervision when it was appropriate. Rarely did staff need to explain a process or procedure to Vic more than once, and they were particularly adept at learning Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Becoming a wiz in seconds.

Vic's upbeat demeanor and can do attitude brightened the lab and made them a very low maintenance employee. Their strong human relations skills enabled them to interface very effectively with many different constituencies including alumni, students, and employers. Vic's strong verbal and written communications skills allowed them to relay information in a clear and coherent manner.

Vic is a naturally caring person who loves to help and encourage others; they consistently demonstrated a solid service orientation towards our clients. As you can tell by now, I am quite impressed with this outstanding young individual and give them my strongest recommendation for roles which require intelligence, organization, communication skills, service, and a positive attitude.

Beyond exceptional leadership and collaborative skills, Vic has a very unique voice and narrative style. Not only are they one of the smartest filmmakers I know, but they have the ability to successfully translate their passion for psychology and music into their work. They always make others in their crew smile and accomplish complicated projects in a very effective and spirited way. Not only are they an outstanding leader and collaborator, a talented artist, a reliable and proactive worker, and an empathetic storyteller, but they are also a person of exceptionally high moral character. I have absolutely no doubt that they will be a tremendous credit to any project or company they become a part of.
